One Pan Honey Garlic Chicken – Dinner in 30 Minutes

Honey garlic chicken is so simple and delicious. The great thing is, the entire dish can be made up in 30 minutes, using one pan, and a few simple ingredients you’ll have in your pantry: honey, garlic, soy sauce, water, black pepper, green onions, and sesame seeds. It simply doesn’t get much easier.

As with all our recipes, it can be altered in a few ways. First, if you don’t have honey, you can use corn syrup or granulated sugar. I find a good quality honey works best though.

Fresh garlic is always the best, but garlic powder or salt can also be used. If you want to add extra spices such as onion powder, by all means do so.

We use boneless, skinless chicken breasts as they are healthy and easy to work with, but any cut of chicken can be used.

As always, watch the video, give it a try, and let us know what you think.

Healthy and Nutritious Avocado Shake/Smoothie – Happy St. Patrick’s Day

An avocado shake or smoothie is healthy and delicious. Actually, avocados are one of the chosen foods among health-conscious individuals. They contain a vast amount of nutrients including: vitamin K, vitamin C, vitamin E, vitamin V5 and 6, potassium, and folate. They come in at about 160 calories and contain 2 grams of protein and 15 healthy fats. The list goes on, so what more can you ask for. Get the recipe: http://cooknshare.com/recipe/healthy-nutritious-avocado-shake/

You can alter the shake or smoothie in a few ways to suit your taste. First, we use honey to sweeten it up, but sugar or corn syrup can be used as a replacement. You can change the amount according to your diet and liking.

This recipe uses plain yogurt, but flavored or Greek can be used as a matter of personal preference. For example, a combination of strawberry or banana yogurt and avocado might be a nice touch.

We use 2 percent milk but skimmed or 1 percent could be used as well to make the smoothie more diet conscious.

The bottom line is to make the drink to your preferences. Watch the video, give it a try, and let us know what you think.

Mushroom Fried Rice – Fast & Delicious

This is one of the nicest mushroom fried rice dishes I have ever tasted. It seems when you combine the rice with the few simple ingredients in this recipe, some kind of magic happens. Believe me, you family and friends will love it. Give it a try, and let us know what you think.

Let’s talk about a few tips in making this recipe. First, we use button mushrooms due to the fact that they are readily available and inexpensive. Alternatively, the addition or replacement of shiitake mushrooms would be a nice elevation to the dish.

This recipe uses red bell peppers due to the sweetness they offer. If you are not a fan of red bell peppers, fell free to use yellow or green peppers.

The other ingredients can be adjusted to your liking, as well. In example, if you want the dish hotter, add more chili flakes; on the other hand, if you find it too hot, add less. The same applies to the garlic, soy sauce, and pepper.

Veggie Chilli & Egg Breakfast – Pai’s Kitchen!

I’m always trying to come up with new, yummy breakfast idea that is quick to put together in the morning, and this one is just perfect! The rich vegetarian chili, which is great on its own, can be made in advance and kept in the fridge. Comes morning time, you crack an egg into a pan, stick a piece of toast in the toaster, and heat the chili up in the microwave, and voila! Everything will finish about the same time, and you have a beautiful, healthy breakfast in just a few minutes!

Oh, and if you want to just have the chili on its own for dinner, that’s cool too!

Tomato Pesto Grilled Cheese – The Ultimate Sandwich

Tomato basil pesto grilled cheese is incredible and can be referred to as “The Ultimate Sandwich.” Made with a combination of sun dried tomato pesto, mozzarella, tomatoes, and basil, the taste is simply out of this world. They make a fantastic lunch and the kids will just love them. get the recipe atL http://cooknshare.com/recipe/tomato-basil-pesto-grilled-cheese-sandwich/

This recipe can be altered in a few ways. First, it’s not critical to use mozzarella if you don’t like it as any kind of cheese can be used in the sandwich. An old sharp cheddar is always nice.

We add fresh tomatoes to our sandwiches but onions, ham, or anything like that can be added as well. You could even use pepperoni to make it more like a pizza if you wish.

Fresh basil really gives the sandwich a nice touch. If you are not a fan of basil, any kind of herb or spices can be added.

Give our tomato pesto grilled cheese sandwich a try, and let us know what you think.

Thailand Vlog: Chatuchak Market “Kae Noodles” & Coconut Ice Cream

My brother and I took a short trip to look for some souvenirs at the Chatuchak Weekend Market, which is a place I visit every time I go home. It is one of those places that is popular amongst tourists AND locals, so it’s not just a tourist trap and it’s worth a visit!

How to get there: The subway MRT (Chatuchak Park Station) and the skytrain BTS (Mo Chit Station) both go right to the market. When I leave, I don’t like to take taxi from the market, cuz it’s kind of a pain and there will be scammer taxis who are waiting for foreigners there.

My Chatuchak Tip: It’s huge. And not everything will be of interest to you. Luckily, things are divided into departments so think about what you want to explore (food, clothing, home stuff, plants, pets…) and find out where that section is (I’m sure there’s a map somewhere). It’ll be hot, but don’t drink too much water cuz bathroom isn’t easy to find there especially if you’re deep in the middle of the market!

🍜 Easy Hot and Sour Soup

Hot and sour soup originated in China, specifically the Beijing area, but found its way into Chinese influenced cultures in Asia, Europe, and North America. I love it on a cold winter’s day, but that certainly doesn’t mean I don’t make it in other seasons. Its hot, spicy, sour balance is indescribable. What can I say other than it’s a must try. Get the recipe: http://cooknshare.com/recipe/hot-sour-soup/

There are several suggestions and variations to the recipe. To begin with, I use button mushrooms to make the recipe simple. You can, however, add some shitake or oyster mushrooms if you wish. This will give the soup a slightly different taste and texture.
The rest of the ingredients are pretty common but can be adjusted according to individual tastes. For example, more or less vinegar can be added to adjust the level of sourness, white pepper can be used instead of black pepper, the sriracha can be replaced with just about any hot sauce, or the amount of sugar can be increased or decreased. The list goes on and on and is a matter of individual preferences.

Watch the video, give our hot and sour soup a try, and let us know what you think.
